The family of Ascotel
IntelliGate systems is fully IP capable, ensuring that you can take full
advantage of the latest advances in voice and data integration both now and in
the future. Using the systems optional Ascotel IP gateway card you can combine
voice and data over existing wide area networks giving substantial traffic
cost savings and making even remote sites (including home workers) appear as
internal calls.

Small
remote offices and home workers can also be fully integrated to the
head office telephone system, using the new Office 35 IP handset and
enjoying the full system functionality that would normally only be
available when at the office.
The
'IP enabled' IntelliGate PBX range is an ideal solution for businesses
with remote offices and homeworkers, using VoIP all remote extensions
and offices can be 'centralised' to the main office. Offering IP
functionality between sites, remote IP applications and LAN / WAN
connectivity IntelliGate provides flexible working practices that can
help to significantly reduce overheads, significantly improve internal
communications and customer service between all the various locations.

Using
ADSL, Ascotel IntelliGate combined with the new Office 35IP terminal can
link home-workers and small satellite offices anywhere in the world into
the company's central IT systems for voice and data. This allows users
to operate as though they were at the office, enjoying the same benefits
and functionality as office-based telephone users but saving the
business office space and travel costs. With IntelliGate, calls can
easily be held and transferred to remote staff as though they were in
the office. IntelliGate also offers a comprehensive feature set, which
remote workers can also enjoy including, DECT cordless, voicemail,
Unified Messaging and Computer Telephony Integration applications, enabling
total flexibility.

existing Ascotel systems can be upgraded to the new generation IntelliGate

Technical
Data
As
Ascotel IntelliGate supports G.711 and G.729 data communication standards and
QoS (Quality of Service) tagging, voice packets are given priority over data
packets for network transmission, ensuring an uninterrupted telecommunications
channel. The Ascotel Office 35IP phone comes with an integrated mini-switch
that connects to the company LAN and allows a laptop or PC to be connected at
the same time, only one LAN point is required.
The 'IP
enabled' IntelliGate PBX range can be supplied either wall or rack mounted,
and both versions provide the same exceptional functionality and future
proofing expected from a Voice over IP enabled phone system.
