QSIG Networking for Inter-branch connectivity

The new i5 Ascotel range of systems provides the option to add inter-system networking based upon the European QSIG standards adopted by all leading telephone system manufacturers. QSIG networking provides the possibility to connect sites over a fixed connection or virtual network, with a telephone extension numbering plan that makes all inter-site calls as simple as dialling an internal extension number.

Features supported by the QSIG Standard include:

• Flexible network topology
• Call brokering between sites
• Support of ISDN basic voice and data services over the network
• Call conference between remote sites and external callers
• Presentation of callers number and name if available
• Call forwarding of all calls between sites (at all times, when busy or if no reply)
• Call transfer between connected sites
• Call back when free from a busy remote extension
