Avaya INDex Overview

The INDeX (Integrated Network Digital eXchange) system from Avaya is a modular and flexible 'communications platform' capable of supporting the latest voice and data technologies. This modularity means that new features and functions can easily be added to provide the exact configuration you need. INDeX is designed for the SME market and is recognised as the leader in its class.

Handsets

INDeX digital feature handsets have large liquid crystal displays surrounded by four context sensitive keys. The text displayed next to these keys tells you exactly what functions are available at any moment. This design makes it easy for end-users to get the most out of the features and functions available.

20AT handset - A low-cost analogue handset that has several INDeX-specific features including a message waiting light.

2010 handset - The 2010 - the standard digital INDeX handset - boasts an impressive set of features including broadcast receive and message waiting light. It is ideal for a wide variety of applications where a simpler phone is all that's required, such as meeting rooms, warehouses or laboratories.

2030 handset - Inexpensive yet fully-featured, the 2030 suits hybrid systems where the majority of users require a cost-effective yet sophisticated hands-free terminal.

2050 and 2060 handsets - The 2050 is the ideal choice for executive users and back-up operators.

DSS busy lamp field - The DSS busy lamp field unit can be set-up with any 20 series INDeX terminal to provide 42 additional soft-keys. This allows the terminal to be used as a small switch board or speed-dialling unit, offering a direct visual indication of extension and external line status.

Index IP
Level 10 software on INDeX has now been released and will be known as INDeX IP due to the high levels of IP integration now available.
