Call management is the process of monitoring, analysing
and controlling all aspects of a telecommunications voice and data network.
Tollring Call Management Systems comprise hardware and
software designed to extract, store and analyse information from a phone
system. This typically means logging and reporting on data which is produced
by a PABX.
The Tollring TMS system uses an intelligent data collection
unit (DCU) to collect call records in real-time. This DCU is connected to a
non-dedicated PC, which will run the Tollring TMS Software.The software suite
provided with the system has a number of functions. One of the modules allows
the user to download the data to a PC or server from one local and/or several
remote data collection units. This data is added to a monthly file for the
reporting module to analyse. This reporting module, allows the user to run a
broad range of analysis reports. Using this software a user can do anything
from producing simple reports for extension billing of internal clients, to
running analyses on the performance of operators or even the phone system
itself. The software is available as a 32bit version (running on Windows
95/98/Me/NT or 2000).
